The Origin

Chris and Kerry have been involved in food service since they learned to walk. Having worked in restaurants all over the world, Chris is an expert in making quality food out of any ingredient, especially meat. Working at his grandfather’s donut shop, Kerry learned to mix cake and potato flour to give the donuts a surprising crunch. They have combined the best of what they learned to create The Test Kitchen. The name itself is representative of the other fundamental idea that drives the kitchen, and that is to serve you, the students and residents of Minneapolis, what you want. Two of our most popular items, “The Pat” and “Kenny Melt,” are named after the customers who gave the suggestion. Give us any request and we will find a way to make it work.
